Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A Hexagon made with some gorgeous shades and textures of beautiful glass and looks lovely hanging in the window where its colours catch the light.
I've used colours from the red, blue and purple spectrum. 12 different colours and textures of glass. In the centre there is a lovely crystal which shimmers and changes colour in the different lights.
The colours of this piece are all very rich and remind me of a compote of summer fruit, cherries, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries and blueberries.
However tasty I don't recommend eating it !!
I have framed the outer edge with twisted wire for strength and neatness.
The suncatcher hangs from a little chain which is securely attached to the top of the hexagon which is 11cm in diameter.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
Please note this is unusually not my own design but a standard Hexagon pattern but absolutely specific to me, Joysofglass, with the central crystall and the border of twisted wire.
