As in my drawings, line and pattern is important, and I am particularly interested in developing designs which incorporate optical illusion. This piece came about after I came across an article on the theories of the mathematician Fibonacci, and I hope to develop other aspects of his ideas in future work.

Quilted textile wall hanging / table cover.
Size: 87 x 84.5 cm approx
On the back of this piece, near the top, is a fabric casing through which a narrow rod can be inserted for hanging. For the photos I used one of the stronger net curtain rods but would recommend the use of a metal rod and decorative brackets. These are widely available in a variety of sizes. If preferred, the piece can be used as a table cover.
This piece is one of a variety of convergence quilts, and uses four fabrics for the central design. All outer fabrics are 100% cotton and the internal wadding is 80% cotton / 20% polyester.
Care: can be hand or machine washed at 30 deg C and spun dry at 800 rpm. Dry flat, or supported over something like a bannister rail, easing into shape if necessary. Please do not tumble dry or iron.
Allergy info: we do have two dogs in the house, but all textile pieces are washed on completion and stored in a robust box with a well-fitting lid.
