Full description

This piece of textile art has been made using brightly coloured silk fabric pieces that have been needle felted to a piece of backing felt. They fabric has been needle felted in a random geometric abstract pattern and each piece outlined with black stitching to give a "stained glass" effect. The needle felting process binds the fabric and fibres to the backing felt without the need for stitching. In addition to binding the fabrics, the needle felting creates a beautiful texture to the surface of the pictured the silk fabric has a lovely surface sheen. The picture has been provided with an 8' x 8" white card mount with a picture area of 4"x 4" ready to be framed.

Please note: the listing is for the picture with mount only. The photographs illustrate how the final piece might look framed but the frame is not included in the listing.

Bring a little bit of colour into your home with this stunning alternative to stained glass.
