I have a lovely little bee mosaic and this is it made as a suncatcher.
Everyone loves to see bees in the garden and I've noticed there are a lot fewer buzzing around this year. This suncatcher allows you to always have your very own glass bee.
These bee sucatcher would made a great gift for anyone who likes bees, a beekeeper or just those people who love their garden.
These suncatchers have been made by cutting the glass by hand, grinding each piece to remove any sharp edges, washing, foiling with copper foil, soldering and then washing again. A patina has been applied to the stripes to blacken them, it is then washed again and polished.
I have four of these bees for sale and the glass used for each is slightly different. A yellow glass has been used for the body with clear textured glass for the wings.
Small black glass nuggets have been used for the eyes and tinned copper wire has been used to make the antenna.
This suncatcher measures 9.5cms x 8cms excluding there antenna.
I will supply a good quality window hook so you can hang your suncatcher as soon as it is received. Please wet before you push it firmly onto the window.
I will send this in a letterbox sized box so you will not need to worry about being in when the postman arrives.
