We came across a Sushi Dish mould in a sale and wondered how we could utilise it. We've made several pieces using it now - this is one of them

The coloured tiles stand out from the red background and make a striking, eye-catching pattern. It is a simple Trinket Tray or a decorative piece.
This plate, platter, dish (you decide) is constructed from a rectangle of red glass that has been capped with a matching piece of clear glass. We've then cut the coloured tiles and carefully laid them out in the pattern we wanted. A first trip to the kiln fused everything together and gives a smooth surface as the tiles melt into the base glass. Once cooled it goes back into the kiln for a second time where a mould gives it a slight dish shape.
It is approximately 20 cm long and 11 cm wide.
All of our Fused Glass Goodies are designed and hand-made at our studios in Shropshire.
Please note that the jewellery shown in some of the images is not included in the sale.
