Full description

A beautiful natural flashing Australian Koroit Boulder Opal cabochon gemstone, irregular in shape with flashing iridescent neon green, purples and blues. This is a really lovely little stone, a great example of a Koroit Boulder Opal, just waiting for a jewellery designer to create something stunning.

As hopefully can be seen in the photographs, this lovely cabochon is a lovely rich brown ironstone matrix, with vivid neon green flashes on one side, and veins of purple and blue on the other side. Flat backed and polished all over, with natural inclusions. More or less colour flashes as the stone is moved.

Dependant on how the designer sets this item, more or less colour play will show. I leave that in the hands of the professionals, but think it would make a fantastic focal centre point in a pendant.

Photos were taken in natural light, however, the colour play still is far better in the hand. Opals are so difficult to photograph successfully.

I have attempted to take many photos so please review all photographs, but if you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Approximate measurements: the length is approx 15mms, the width at its widest point is approx 10mms and the depth is approx 4.5mms, measurements taken at its widest and thickest points.
