Welcome to my Folksy shop! After selling my art and illustrations for 18 months I decided to create a shop specifically for my original works such as lino prints, screen prints and paintings.
Nora was the name of my great grandmother, who lived in the countryside with a long garden. As a child, my brother and I spent hours playing in my great grandparent's garden, which was sectioned into a lawn area with an apple tree, a secretive flower garden full of humming bees and sugary smells, a shed, some unused pig styes from a time when my great-grandad kept pigs, and a large barn. A winding path ran through it, leading to a field at the back of the garden where adders were not uncommon and poppies grew. I took this garden for granted at the time, not considering how lucky I was to have such a magical space to run around in, and how many millions of hours my great-grandparents spent cultivating it for the decades they lived there.

Full description
This is an original linocut print featuring a rabbit standing in a beautiful garden of both wild and cultivated flowers - from daisies to Chinese lanterns - printed in blue on a white paper to evoke the famous willow pattern from the popular blue and white china decor from decades gone by. Titled 'Nora's Garden', the print aims to represent the scents, sounds and sights of a beautiful garden in summer.
Made using oil-based blue relief ink hand-printed onto 46gsm Japanese awagami paper in white. The print is number 8 in the second variation of an open edition. The print measures approximately 21.5cm high by 17cm wide, and comes editioned, signed and dated.
The photos I have used in this listing are of the exact print you will receive. As no two lino prints will ever look the same, please check the images to ensure you are happy with the print.
If you live in the UK, the print is sent using Royal Mail Signed For 2nd Class. For all other countries it will be sent using Royal Mail International Standard Tracked & Signed.
