All the items in my shop are handmade by myself in my studio in Scotland! I use a variety of different glass techniques to create unique designs and custom orders are always welcome.
Almost before I had finished designing my glass lions, I knew I had to pay homage to the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz so I painstakingly replicated the Medal of Courage that the Wizard awards him after his adventures with Dorothy.
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.

Full description
"Do you think Oz could give me courage?" asked the Cowardly Lion.
This lion is made from one piece of chunky 10mm thick clear float glass that has been cut to shape using a water jet cutting machine.
It has then been screen-printed by hand in black, white, red and blue enamel as well as hand painted in gold lustre, which is fired into place making it waterproof and resistant to sunlight. All my kiln-fired pieces are carefully digitally annealed and cooled for strength and safety.
Finally a small clear glass base is fused onto the lions paws for stability and it is gift boxed with a story card.

Weight - 280g / 10oz
The image above is an example, as each Lion is unique, due to the making process.
Lions are also available as brooches and cufflinks in my shop collections.
