All the items in my shop are handmade by myself in my studio in Scotland! I use a variety of different glass techniques to create unique designs and custom orders are always welcome.
I've had an interest in anatomy and bones for as long as I can remember, not to be morbid but for the wonder of this structure that is inside all of us. I have been fortunate to study a few animal preservations to create the artwork for my X-Ray prints as the skeletons need to be understood in order to reposition them into my glass animal silhouette.
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.

Full description
Rising again from an Elephant graveyard, this skeleton print has been taken from anatomical drawings and taxidermies.
This elephant is made from one piece of chunky 10mm thick clear float glass that has been cut to shape using a water jet cutting machine.
It has then been screen-printed by hand in this X-ray design using black glass enamel, which is fired into place making it waterproof and resistant to sunlight. All my kiln-fired pieces are carefully digitally annealed and cooled for strength and safety.
Finally a small clear glass base is fused onto the elephants feet for stability and it is gift boxed with a story card.

Weight - 375g / 13.2oz
The image above is an example, as each Elephant is unique, due to the making process.
Elephants are also available as brooches and cufflinks in my shop collections.
