Full description
This clown fish has been needle felted using woollen fibres. A white wool core has been sculpted into shape using a barbed felting needle. After sculpting coloured wool has been added to the surface and the fins and beaded eyes attached. The fish has then been mounted by means of a stiff wire to a wooden plaque which is covered in blue silk paper. Two pieces of coral made using hand painted silk clay have been added to the foreground.
The ornament (including base) measures approximately 13cm (5") long x 13cm (5") tall.
This is an ornamental sculpture, not intended as a toy.
