Whisky Barrel Stave and Shotgun Cartridge Case Coat Hook. Handcrafted here in the heart of whisky country in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
Salvaged oak whisky barrel staves steeped not only in whisky but also character. Each barrel stave is unique and their natural curve allows for the crafting of this beautiful Coat Hook. The lovely sweeping curve is formed from a single barrel stave planed and sanded to reveal the beautiful grain structure of the aged whisky soaked oak, while retaining some of the character gained during decades of use in whisky industry. Coupled with empty shotgun cartridge cases this is a neat way to reuse some waste materials as well as provide a quirky yet functional item for the home.
The Barrel Stave and Shotgun Cartridge Case Coat Hook is designed with 6 "coat hooks" but this can be altered to suit. There is also the option to have bung hole or plain stave versions. Choices of colours of "coat hooks" include Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple, Sliver and Black. Colour combinations or single colour choices are available again please select when purchasing or contact me directly to discuss.
The cleaned and sanded oak stave is finished in a dark oak beeswax. The example stave in the photos is dark oak waxed, with no added staining.
