I started making my own luxury blankets after being inspired by my son on one of our visits to Robin Hood's Bay, North Yorkshire. This first collection is inspired by the bay and the sea. I aspire to make items that you can keep or pass on within your family for generations.

Soft, cosy, and warm 100% Bluefaced Kerry Hill Wool handcrafted lap blanket. The blanket is made from yarn that displays the new British Wool Logo, a guarantee that the wool is British.
Ideal for those who want to keep warm all year. Small enough to travel with, it is a light fabric with with a luxurious silky texture.

I love the flame resistant property of wool. Wool formed keratin protein, is recognised as the most flame resistant (FR) of all natural fibres. Wool is not readily ignitable. These properties made me want to use wool for blankets. It is comforting to know it is 100% wool and if it ever gets too close to a flame, it will not ignite readily.
