Cyanotype print is an early form of photography that doesn't use a camera. It involves painting light sensitive chemicals onto paper, laying foliage onto it and then exposing to bright sunlight to create the prints. Wet cyanotype printing involves adding water, vinegar salt or other substances to create a variety of shades that are different to the traditional dark blue with white prints that we usually associate with cyanotype. I love using flowers and foliage for my prints that I have collected and pressed from my own garden and the surrounding local area.

Full description
This lovely print has been made using the Cyanotype process. It is of a pretty little weed that I found growing up through my garden path! The print has been highlighted with 24ct gold leaf and edged with 18ct gold leafing pen and it is surrounded by an embossed square frame. The card is blank for your own message so would be suitable for many different occasions.
This is the original print and not a copy. It was printed on top quality 300gsm watercolour paper and would look fabulous in a frame. It is a strong print and will last for many years but I would suggest keeping it away from direct sunlight to prevent any fading.
Please note the colours may vary slightly depending on the device you are using.
The card is 12cm x 12cm and will be sent in a clear protective cellophane bag and a sturdy board backed envelope. It will be posted 1st class signed for.
