One of the earliest forms of photography that doesn't use a camera, cyanotype printing originates from the 19th century. Paper is coated in light sensitive chemicals, foliage or other items are laid on top and then it is exposed to the sun to create the print. Cyanotype prints are most commonly dark blue with a white print, but different colours and designs can be achieved by using water, vinegar, salt and other substances during the process. This is then called wet cyanotype printing. I use plants and flowers from my garden and the local area for all my prints.

Full description
A beautiful card made from an original and unique Cyanotype print, and highlighted with 24ct gold leaf. For the print I used a broken twig from a Tamarisk tree that I found on a walk at my local beach. The card has been edged in 18ct gold leafing pen and is surrounded by an embossed square. It has been left blank so is suitable for many different occasions.
Please note that this is an original and unique print and not a copy. It has been printed on high quality 300gsm watercolour paper and would look beautiful in a frame. The print is strong and will last a good many years, however I would advise keeping it out of strong sunlight to prevent any fading.
Please note the colours may vary slightly depending on the device you are using.
The card is 12cm x 12cm square and will be sent in a clear cellophane bag for protection and a sturdy board backed envelope. It will be posted 1st class signed for.
