Welcome to my shop. I hope you like the things I make as much as I enjoy making them.
I usually post Second Class with Royal Mail and aim to dispatch the first working day after the order is placed at the latest. I will contact you if it is to be any different.
Where possible, I use recycled packaging both to keep P and P costs down and for environmental reasons.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
This one off nautical themed hanging boat is made using a variety of materials and would look lovely in any setting but especially a coastal one.
The sails are created using my own collaged "fabric paper" which has been painted with seascape hues and stitched through. Within it, you'll find fragments of maps featuring "Flamborough Head" "Bridlington" "Sandsend" and "Saltburn by the sea". There's also a fragment of a hymn from an old hymnbook.
(Fabric paper is a combination of fabric and paper, with the flexibly of the first and the texture of the second.)
The sails have been free machine embroidered to add texture. Although there is definitely a "front" the back has its own charm.
The boat measures approximately 33cm from the top of the hanging loop to the bottom of the boat.
The driftwood was found on a beach in Scotland.
This item is for decoration purposes only and is not a toy.
