For a long time I have been interested in pretty jewellery especially those with vibrant colours. And also a love of crafting. So when I came across the art of kiln fusion/jewellery making on the internet I decided I wanted to have a go.
I bought some tools, several assorted pieces of both dichroic and Bullseye glass and set to. I haven`t looked back since and have been very pleasantly surprised by the results.
For this particular piece I wanted to make something very feminine. The pendant is almost rectangular in shape though slightly longer in length.
I used a lovely dragonfly pattern for the middle part (gold on black dichroic). And then surrounded this with a lovely deep purple/light green/also a tiny purple with blue squares pattern edging - again in dichroic. For the base I used a plain black Bullseye glass.
It seemed to work very well.
