I've always collected sea glass, and while shiny glossy glass is beautiful there is something special about the soft satin finish of sea glass. Imagine how pleased I was when I discovered that sandblasting and re-firing my fused glass gave it a similar look - but in any colour I wanted!
I make the glass rounds by fusing a layer of transparent coloured glass over a different coloured layer of opaque glass in my kiln; then I sandblast them and fire in the kiln again to get the satin seaglass like finish. It is the layer of transparent glass and this satin finish that gives such a beautiful subtle glow quite different from the more usual 'shiny' appearance of glass.

This pretty little handmade glass pebble pendant has bands of blue, white and lilac art glass, all with a smooth and tactile matt surface finish.
This pendant is a little smaller than many I make - perfect if you like something a little less chunky. The fused glass pendant has a silver plated bail and comes complete with an 18" silver plated snake chain and one of my smart signature gift boxes, ready to give as a gift. The box is fully recyclable with a recycled card insert (no plastic foam here!).
NOTE: These purple-blues are a really tricky colour to photograph; the lilac band in the pendant is a slightly pinker colour than shows in the image.
EARRINGS
This pendant is a great match for my periwinkle blue earrings; if you would like to add a pair of earrings to make a set please select the appropriate option on checkout.
DIMENSIONS:
The pendant is 2.5cm (1") wide and 4cm (1.5") long including the silver plated bail.
The stud earrings are 9mm diameter and have sterling silver fittings.
The drop earrings are 12mm wide and 25mm long. The earring bail is silver plated and the earwires are sterling silver.
