Spinning is my passion. I just love the way each skein is created. This beautiful unique hand spun yarn is made up of 85% Merino and 15% Tussah Silk. The fibres are soft to handle and I have chained plyed this yarn (Navajo plyed), which makes a stronger yarn. It was hand spun on an Ashford Kiwi 3.
Yarn Weight: Aran/Worsted
Weight: Approx 99g
WPI: 8-10
Yardage: Approx 100 mtrs/109 yards
Construction: 3 ply in a Navajo chain, with natural variations
Could be used as an art yarn or for a small project, such as a cowl or scarf. Or just add your stash for the right project :)
I try to make sure the colours of my items as true as possible when taking photos. Be aware that different mobiles and monitors can display colour differently to each other.
Each hand spun yarn comes with a FREE sachet of Eucalan No Rinse
Please hand wash carefully in cool water with a wool wash product if possible and lay out when drying.
My yarn comes in skeins, but if you need it to be wound into a centre pull ball, please let me know with your order. This will be done at no extra cost.
