Full description
This little vase shines with 6 colours of the rainbow. Looking from the top we can see a spiders web effect - stunning.
It is approximately 16.5 cm across its hexagonal top with a base that is 6 cm in diameter. It is approximately 8 cm tall.
It makes a great decoration either with flowers in it or just on its own. It can also serve as a candle holder for a pillar candle. It is really stable on its flat base.
It is made from a hand-cut hexagon of clear glass overlaid with strips of transparent coloured glass. An initial session in the kiln fuses everything together. A second visit to the kiln with the hexagon placed on a doughnut-shaped mould which is supported well above the kiln floor allows the glass to flow into this organic shape.
As the glass is chosen, cut and placed by hand this piece is unique and there will never be another the same as this. We can make similar pieces - you can see the 'sister' vase in the final photo.
All of our Fused Glass Goodies are designed and hand-made with care and love at our studio in Shropshire.
