This one of a kind miniature diorama features a little sailing boat out on the high seas, with a piece of vintage OS map forming the backdrop. Like many of my dioramas, it is inspired by my love of the coast and tales of the sea. Each picture I make is completely unique.
The design comes from original drawings which have been transformed into layers of laser cut wood, which I have then painted by hand and built up to form 3d layers and set into a stained glazed wooden box frame, which measures approx. 11.5cm; the scene itself measures approx 8cm x 8cm.
For photography purposes, this piece is pictured without its glass.
