This piece was inspired by Autumn/Winter campfires, bonfires, fireworks and festivities....and cute owls because I just cant help myself.
Process:
Each bead has been lovingly crafted entirely by hand using the translucent clay mokume gane technique which involves layering various shades of translucent clay and sheets of gold leaf into a stack and compressing it before slicing it into very thin pieces of random depths and then reassembling the slices into one large sheet to create depth and layers of colour glittering with flakes of gold leaf.
