I love woodturning a variety of different objects and especially enjoy turning pens. I have made a number of different types of pen over the years, but I find fountain pens like this are the most challenging to make, but when finished, I think they are quite special.

Full description
This fountain pen is made with a lovely piece of dark rosewood using Leveche kit which has a chrome finish. I purchased a random box of pen blanks from a gentleman that had stopped making pens. Whilst a number of the wooden blanks were labelled with the name of the species, some were not and unfortunately the timber for this pen was one of those!
After making the pen, I took it along to our woodturning club and asked the many experienced woodturners for opinions on what the timber might be, consensus was either Ebony or Rosewood. After that, a little more research leads me to believe that this is indeed a dark rosewood. Perhaps the most pleasing thing from showing it at the club were the compliments!
Anyway, this pen comes with ink cartridge and ink converter for use with bottled inks and presented in a lovely case.
