I am lucky enough to see these beautiful and elusive creatures in my garden occasionally. They are so entertaining, and so fast (blink and they have disappeared)! I designed this little crochet version inspired by them; and for Christmas I have popped him in a fir tree hoop with a little bell "acorn"!.

Full description
A tiny red squirrel with a bushy tail, sitting in a mini wreath and holding a Christmas bell.
He is stitched onto a cinnamon log, and to the wreath (no glue is used) and suspended with a thin gold thread loop.
I have crocheted him with a scrap of vintage yarn to my own pattern; each one is unique.
The wreath measures 4inches/10 cm across. It is very light and can be hung against a wall or on a Christmas tree, or as a mini mobile.
