Whilst woodturning, the shape and size of the bowl was determined by the wood itself.
It has been made from a tree that was taken down from a friend's garden.

This wooden bowl has been woodturned from a solid piece of spalted Sycamore wood. It has been upcycled from reclaimed wood. This unique bowl is a 'One of a kind' item due to its grain. This useful bowl has many uses, put your keys, pocket change or Reiki crystals in it. Give it as a Mothers Day gift, an Easter gift, a housewarming gift, a Wood Anniversary gift or even as a gift for dad.
This bowl is approximately 14.5 cms in diameter, approximately 2 cms internal depth and approximately 8 cms in height.
All items to the UK mainland are shipped 1st Class Royal Mail.

I am a firm believer in upcycling using reclaimed wood whenever possible. I often recycle the packaging I send out my items in.
This bowl is hand wash only and not suitable for dishwashers.
A piece of wood was selected then cut down to a suitable size to be woodturned. It was shaped on a woodturning lathe before being sanded to a smooth finish. The bowl has been finished with several coats of Lacquer to protect it and highlight the beautiful grain of the wood. The lacquer used is water and heat resistant, and toy safe.
