A natural Irish Blackthorn cane. Hand carved and painted to this great looking snake.

I obtained this piece of blackthorn with part of the root still attached. I was intrigued by the twist and thought I could do something with this unique piece of wood.
I carefully carved and whittled the root end into the generic snake head, roughly based on a rattle snake. I then hand painted the rest and then used a specialist wood laquer to protect it all.
