I first tried painting on our African grey parrots feather that would fall to the bottom of the cage sometimes.I then began collecting feathers on my dog walks .I find them so smooth and soft to paint on,the bigger feathers the better really.Ive found heron,owl and hawk feathers which provide more room for a bigger picture.
