Sea Urchin Pendant Handcarved Sterling Silver Blue Striped Bubble Lampwork Bead

Sea Urchin Pendant Handcarved Sterling Silver Blue Striped Bubble Lampwork Bead

Add to basket

Inspired by that most enigmatic of sea creatures the sea urchin, this pendant showcases a striped lampwork bead with sparkling entrapped bubbles in many shades of brilliant blue. The chunky sterling silver circle enclosing the bead has been carved and oxidised to give the impression of the black spikes that encase and protect the delicate shell of the animal while it slowly grazes on the sea floor. I have polished the silver to a mirror shine and it hangs on a sturdy 450 mm chain from my own design of bail. The bead sits upon a silver circle and will rotate within its setting, ideal if you have restless fingers and love to twist your jewellery. This pendant measures 18 mm wide by 27 mm high.

It is carefully presented in a decorated black card gift box which can be recycled if desired.
