This art marble is a complete one-off, either for marble & curio collectors, or to add to your own creations or jewellery.
This marble is around 22mm in diameter, inside is mostly yellow, with lots more colours in and underneath the spiral- this is one of those 'stare into' marbles, the longer you look, the more you will find from some ghostly blue/violet trails to the sparkles glittering in the main arms. This all spirals up out of a yellow 'cloud'
As it is hand formed there are some slight imperfections in the glass, such as small bubbles, distortion etc, There is also a slight tooling groove in one side, in the yellow cloud but it can really only be felt & not seen.
It has been given a very long anealing cycle in a digital controlled kiln, to improve toughness, but it is still glass and I do not recommend throwing it around just in case! It has been handmade by lampworking it in a propane/oxygen flame from raw clear borosilicate glass (pyrex type glass, the stuff I use is normally used to make lab equipment!). The coloured glass inside is premium qualilty Amercian Northstar glass designed for art glass use only.
