Full description
Large handmade merino wool felt heart, plumply stuffed with dried lavender. It is approximately 11cm wide by 10 cm tall, with a toning cotton loop for hanging.
Using traditional wet felting techniques, I felt together layers of deep red merino wool embellished with toning shades of lustrous viscose, over a fine layer of black to give depth of colour and the distinctive outline feature.
You can use the heart in many ways, apart from just looking lovely!
..Hang in your wardrobe or drawers to keep clothes smelling fresh and fragrant. It protects against clothes moths too.
..Use as an alternative air freshener. Hang from a door handle or hook and enjoy the relaxing, calming fragrance.
..Use as a stress reliever. Keep it near you and give it an occasional squeeze to release its calming properties. Good to fidget with too!
..Use as a sleep aid. Slip under your pillow to help you get a restful night’s sleep.
Lavender bags can last for years! Give them a gentle squeeze if the fragrance fades, to release a new fresh lavender scent.
I made several of these from the same piece of felt - they may vary slightly from the heart pictured above.
