This classic literature - Shakespeare's Twelfth Night Silhouette Framed Large Embroidery Illustration is a larger version of my original postcard size pieces. These larger pieces were stitched for my first solo exhibition in the summer and make quite an impact hanging on any wall.
This free motion machine embroidery shows Malvolio approaching Olivia with his fancy cross-gartered yellow stockings in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.. The image has been stitched directly on top of a canvas print displaying the original text from the novel that inspired my work. This is part of a larger textile art series I've created inspired by the wonderful characters and stories within classic literature.
Stitched on canvas using a freehand machine embroidery technique. This makes each item original with inevitable variations between the pieces in this limited edition run of 30. All work has been signed and dated by me on the back of the canvas.
Item Details
This piece is No. 2 in a limited edition run of 30. Measurements including the frame are H- 23.9cm (9.4") and W- 30.8cm (12"). The frame is made from wood and glass, and can be wall mounted.
This item will be sent via Royal Mail's 1st class signed for service.
