Always a fan of a little bothy in the mountains.

Full description

I love the Scottish mountains and have spent many nights cosied up in a bothy after a day on the hills... even Christmas....

This landscape panel is made with cut glass and copperfoil but I have also framed it with a lead came edge. The addition of the lead surround makes it a very sturdy, strong piece and gives the copperfoil panel a pleasing substantial weight.

The focus for this panel is obviously the wee house, it's got a vivid red roof and whitewashed walls making it stand out in it's surrounding mountains. The landscape is made up with a variety of greens for the mountains and meadow, both textured and smooth. The water/loch in the foreground is a softly rippled turquoise.

This sky in this panel is rather special. It is cut from a clear textured baroque glass with grey/blue stripes running through it. It really is a lovely atmospheric sky.

Hooks have been soldered on the top for ease of hanging in your window.

Size approx 18.5cm x 27.5cm
