Full description
One of my favourite things about Gion in Kyoto were the numerous expensive looking stores selling hand made fabric brooches, hair pieces and jewellery for very reasonable prices. A local told me that they were mostly made by young Gaikos to keep themselves busy in a lady-like manner. I'm not sure how true that is but this corsage is inspired by the process of creation of these delicate fabric accessories.
