Full description
These lovely irregular nugget pearls are so called because they have a rounded knobbly freeform shape that has naturally formed within the shell of the freshwater mussel. Dyed a pale sage green over a naturally silver grey pearl, these gems are subtly coloured and highly lustrous with an iridescent sheen. They are slightly greener in person that the photograph allows for and make lovely minimalist style earrings set simply and functionally in sterling silver. I have mounted them on my own sterling silver wires and ear fixings hand made by me in my East Sussex workshop. These earrings measure 25 mm or 1" in length including the fish-hook style ear wires.
They are presented in a decorated black card gift box that can be recycled if desired.
