Part of a series of insects and mini beasts which work well in framed groups with my other insect illustrations. Such a joy for me to paint, with their intricate markings and details. A most gorgeous purple beetle. These are found up at Sheedrove Organic farm where I used to do the odd fair, in the Lambourn downs. However they are widespread, and they eat slugs, which is fine by me!
