Welcome to my shop. I hope you enjoy having a browse. I love working with textiles, making small and large items.
I am always happy to consider commissions and can personalise items. Just drop me an email pamccrafts@gmail.com.
You can follow me on FB and Instagram as well @pamccrafts.
All the items are hand sewn by me. I am increasingly thinking about sustainability with my work and am including more repurposed projects, and trying to use organic and natural fibres and fabrics.
I donate 10% of my sales to Launchpad, a charity working to prevent homelessness in Reading
If you are in the Reading area and would like to collect from me it would be lovely to meet you and chat about my work. I have a stall at most of the Artists and Makers Fairs in Caversham
https://www.artistsandmakersfairs.co.uk.
I have become increasingly interested in the production of the fabrics I use. I love the history of theses fabrics, hand blocked with great skill and using vegetable dyes. They are lovely to work with and make a lovely item.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
These generously proportioned bags are hand sewn by me using ethically sourced Indian block print cotton. Natural vegetable dyes are used in the production of the fabric which is hand printed in the Jaipur region of India using traditional skills.
Folded flat the bag measures 10" x 9"/ 25cm x 23cm, doubling in width when open to18"/46cm Handles are 22 -24 " /56 - 60 cm.
I have used one myself as a project bag for crochet. They can be used for a variety of things including coordinating with an outfit for an evening out. I do not recommend carrying heavy items in these.
The photos are shown with some balls of yarn to give you a sense of size and all 4 sizes shown together in the last photo, the large size is upper left. The little elephant printing block is 2" wide, but he is not included!
Please note these are natural dyes so wash in cool water and expect some colour run from indigo fabrics (I do wash the indigo fabrics before sewing to minimise this).
Fabrics will vary but will be in autumnal tones of rust, ochre, green with a coordinating lining.
