Hand embroidered scented lavender heart.

This is a beautifully detailed hand embroidered heart, filled firmly with super polyester filling and dried lavender to give a gentle fragrance.
A floral hand embroidered piece onto natural silk noil fabric using various threads and stitches in soft pastel colours of peaches, lemon, green, pinks, beige and a light terracotta.
The gathered lace was hand coloured using a selection of watercolour pencils, I blended and reapplied until I achieved a shade to compliment the embroidery colours, left to dry then heat set using an iron. Blended in shades of orange, burnt Sienna, terracotta, and peach to give a lovely aged and slightly grubby orange shade.
It would make a beautiful keepsake gift for someone special. A lovely gift for a bride, it can also have ribbons attached on request to make it into a small ring pillow.
I love to create heirloom style pieces and particularly enjoy hand embroidery.
Hand coloured lace to the back serves as a hanger but it looks equally lovely laid as decorative piece as shown in the images.
Finished measurements are 5" x 5" approx (13cm) not including the lace, with lace the finished size is approx 7" x 7"
Royal Mail 2nd class parcel post which will require a signature upon delivery.
