A fabulous Christmas coloured print komebukuro made from Japanese fabric and complimentary cotton. The red fabric is decorated with metallic gold lines to create the ganzezashi/ Ganze-Sashi or sea urchin pattern that looks like stars.
This would make a lovely gift bag for someone special, is reusable and holds a lot given its size, as can be seen in the photos.
Inside is dark red cotton.
The rice bag, or komebukuro, is a drawstring bag that was traditionally made of scrap fabric to carry rice or other offerings to Japanese temples or shrines.
It measures approximately 12cm (4 1/2 inches) in height, width and depth. The Japanese fabric has been used to create the tabs to hold gold ribbon cord. The traditional tabs at the end of the cord have been crafted from Japanese fabric too.
Pattern placement may vary.
Other fabrics available. Have a look at my other listings.
Please note that the accessories are for photographic purposes only.
Due to screen or monitor differences colours may vary slightly.
