As with all things that emerge from the Ginger Witch Cauldron, this creation has been smudged and cleansed with an incense and smudging blend created in the cauldron its-self, to imbue it with positivity, peace, and a sense of stillness. Every creation from Ginger Witchcrafting sits in this calm ritual space until the very last wisps of smudging magic have passed.

In the autumn of 2020, I was building Ginger Witchcrafting and establishing Ginger Witch in Northumberland when I sat watching my stepdaughter paint and wished I could do the same. Being the wonderfully kind soul she is, she encouraged me to try it – so I did. Obviously at first my attempts weren’t great but the creative expression they allowed was amazing and so calming and peaceful. Then at the beginning of 2021 I was admitted into hospital as an emergency for unexpected surgery after getting a needle from an insulin pen stuck deep in the soft tissue of my stomach. During my recovery at home, I found my style with artwork as practicing was pretty much all I could do. It’s said that every cloud has a silver lining
