The design is based on a drawing of lilac leaves and I love the heart-shaped leaves. and the pattern they create together as they overlap. There's so much inspiration in my garden, I have to remind myself sometimes to get out there and capture it while it's around, as it all changes very quickly.

Throughout March I will contribute 50% of this sale to Choose Love, and specifically their Ukraine Crisis Fund.
This original, one-off design, features hand-cut paper leaves and machine sewing on khadi paper. Khadi paper is made from cotton rag and has a lovely thick texture, and is sturdy enough to sew into.
It measures 14 x 17cm.
Lilac leaves are individually cut from ink painted deli paper (waxed paper), glued in place then the stalks sewn on a machine. Border machine sewn for detail in a vibrant viscose green thread.
This paper collage would make a great gift for a birthday, thank you, special event or would look great on your own wall.
It will arrive securely wrapped in recycled packaging.
I include photos of my original drawing and the paper pre-cutting just for detail.
