Isn't it funny what conversations you have with other makers that can spark the imagination. During the York Open Studios event, a jeweller friend asked me if I had any hare designs that might go with some particular hare designs she had, and I didn't at the time. Later that day, we had our photos taken for a newspaper article and the photographer had us standing in a field of poppies, and that got me thinking. So I went away and came up with a design which draw from the hares and the poppy field with a moon behind. I added some stars for effect, and you can even see a few constellations if you look closely.

Each design is created using hand carved plate of lino carved with specialist tools and printed with a hand wound press. Every print is unique and completely individual due to its handmade nature. It's always so satisfying peeling back to paper to reveal to final print.
Using traditional lino, vegetable oil based inks and recycled paper is a conscious decision to make my craft more eco friendly. The print will arrive wrapped in a biodegradable wrapper with a repurposed card box board back.
Best wishes, Carrie xx
