I love sewing with cork fabric. It is lightweight and has a soft velvety texture making it ideal for this clutch bag. Being durable and water resistant it is also practical. The natural grain and colour variation of this fabric makes each item unique.
Cork fabric, also known as cork leather or vegan leather, consists of a layer of natural cork bonded to a fabric backing. Produced in Portugal using bark harvested from traditionally managed cork oak forests, it is a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to leather.

Envelope style clutch bag handmade in cork fabric.
Slim and lightweight this elegant little handbag is perfect for summer garden parties, weddings and evenings. It is made from natural cork fabric in a lovely watercolour flowers print with a natural cork flap. It comes with a detachable wrist strap, has a magnetic clasp and is lined with a pretty soft peach cotton fabric.
It measures approximately 25 x 15 cm (9 x 5 3/4 inches)
