I’ve thrown a few of these so I was inspired by that and Rene Magritte’s “This is not a pipe” painting.
This is a part of a series of paintings that relate to military weapons and the surrealism of such bits of metal.
The series is as follows:

A small 5 by 7 inch acrylic painting of a British grenade issued to the UK military in the past.
This painting was inspired by Rene Magritte’s ‘ This is not a pipe’ painting and has “ This is not a grenade” written on it.
This is painted on a canvas board and has a satin varnish applied on it.
