I was inspired to make greyhounds by their slim elegant features, wide range of colours and detail of their coats.
I always start by drawing from photographs, focusing on details and characteristics, then interpret them in my own style.

Full description
This Sitting Greyhound has been slip cast in earthenware clay from a plaster piece mould I have made from my original sitting greyhound sculpture.
After a bisque firing I hand paint using underglaze colours, black and white, that are applied in layers using brushes.
The greyhound has been finished in a clear gloss glaze and fired to a temperature just above 1100°C
This Black & White Sitting Greyhound is an original hand painted design and I think makes a delightful ornamental figure.
