I regularly add new products for sale so please favourite my shop and check back regularly.
I love the idea of a unicorn teddy, but no one seemed to get the details correct. I knew in my mind how it should look, but had no experience in how to achieve it.
My first hurdle was finding gold, metallic yarn that actually glittered and would work for crocheting. Then I had to work out the best way to use it as it was just too thin to crochet it on its own.
The tail needed to be full bodied, but not covering half her body, so a design change had to be devised for that.
Then the right material needed to be used to get the right look for the mane and tail, lots of testing went into that.
I love how Twinkletoes turned out and hope that she will quickly find her forever home and be loved.

Twinkletoes wanted to be just like a real unicorn, so she got her golden hooves & horn and a rainbow mane & tail.
Twinkletoes is crocheted in a lovely soft white acrylic yarn for her main colour. Her hooves and horn are crafted from gold metallic yarn and really sparkle in sunlight.
To create her unique mane and tail I separated lengths of soft cotton yarn and hand knotted each piece in place, over 400 strands in all.
To complement her beautiful blue safety eyes I have added some colourful eyelashes.
Twinkletoes is approximately 11"/28cm tall when standing and 8"/21cm tall when seated (all excluding ears and horn).
Due to the way that Twinkletoes has been crafted she is definitely not suitable for very young children.
She will suit someone who can love and cuddle her, but not pull her mane or tail.
