I had this old washboard for about 7 years! The frame was weak and would not hold the glass washboard. I decided a chalkboard was the best use for the newly glued frame and added hooks for practicability.
Wood like this is too beautiful to destroy and it now has a new purpose but reminds us of a time long gone

Chalkboard created from vintage washboard. hook for chalk duster and 4 hooks for keys/teatowels/dog leads etc
overall size is app 31cm wide x 51cm high.
a small shelf has been added with 'dip' to hold chalk and a felt and foam Chalkduster hung from the side.
