Item details

This vibrant bullfinch brings a splash of colour to any room, whether it is hung on a plain wall or in a window. Carefully cut and made to resemble the bird as closely as possible, it is strung on invisible cord to give the appearance that it is floating. Ribbon can be added if the piece needs more room to hang, perhaps from a window latch.

The bullfinch, which has a textured surface, is approximately 15cm beak to tail and about 6.5cm tall. As they are made by hand and it is impossible to get each one identical, a slight variation in markings and colour will occur - this means that yours will be unique!

This would make a great gift for bird watchers, bird lovers, nature enthusiasts and those who just love the countryside. More bird designs are being planned to join the flock – if you have a favourite which is not shown here, please contact me and I will try to create one to your specifications.

A pair of bullfinches are occasional visitors to my garden and have inspired these glassy replicas. The male really stands out with his fabulous pinky red chest – a very difficult colour to try and reproduce in glass!
