I have a fusing kiln, I have glass, I have an addiction to making beautiful glass pieces.
I prepared my abstract glass picture and put it into my kiln and absolutely loved what came out.
It was, as it came out of the heat, that I realised it reminded me of a Rainforest so that is what I've named it

Introducing my Joysofglass Fused Glass collection. All handcut by me, decorated and then fused in my kiln.
I'm useless with a paintbrush so if I want a picture I have to 'paint' it with glass.
For this one I created a completely abstract picture using a base layer of clear glass which I then covered with a mix of patchworked pieces of vibrantly coloured fusing glass.
I've used basically red at the top, green in the centre and turquoise at the base.
I then added dichroic accents for a luxurious finish.
And voila, I found I had painted a rain forest above a tropical lake.
Then into the kiln where it was fused all together to very high temperatures before adding to a box frame so it can be displayed on the wall or free standing.
I've framed this without the glass in the frame as it shows the picture much more clearly.
Made from Bullseye glass, handcut, shaped, layered and decorated with a unique design.
The fused picture measures 13cm x 14cm and is fitted at the back of a box frame with a 15cm aperture, 19cm square frame, 3.5cm deep.
The frame can hang from a hook from the wall or will freestand with a little support.
It will be sent smothered with loving care in bubble wrap
