Full description
It's Christmas Eve and the scene is Haymarket Station in Edinburgh. Grandparents are meeting their grandchildren off the train, lovers are doing some late shopping together, old friends are meeting up, and even though it's one of those which never got light, the world is full of colour, sparkle and anticipation. In the church the choir are practising their final carols, and in a few hours the sound of bells will seem to ring out across history to announce the timeless joy of Christmas.
