I love book binding and exploring different materials and how they come together. I have been experimenting with marbling paper and have been mesmerised by the beautiful patterns and colour effects that can be created.
I have also been experimenting with different book binding stitching - the combination of French chain stitch and coptic stitch is quite unusual - as its not easy to get right!

Full description
An A5, sketch book, made with a unique combination of French chain and coptic stich binding and hand marbled paper in shades of grey with yellow highlights for the cover. The pages are alternating signatures in yellow and white.
It is stitched with waxed black linen thread .
Coptic stitch binding enables you to lay the book flat, ideal for sketching or journalling across the pages. This enables you to create A5 or A4 drawings.
The French link stitch is a very attractive decorative addition to the spine.
Traditionally hand bound with 10 signatures (80 pages, or 160 sides) in white and yellow, quality acid free drawing paper 80gsm.
The 100% Irish linen thread is waxed with bees wax from my own Cornish bees.
Black eyelets give the book a touch of class and add to the robustness of the book, aiding its' longevity.
This book is heavily DISCOUNTED due to a slight bow in the covers and a small error in the stitching where a thread wasn't pulled through properly. A photo has been included to show.
