In pursuit of sustainability in my work, I've chosen to use top-quality synthetic gemstones such as these Lab Opals.
A lab gemstone is a stone 'grown' in a lab rather than the earth. They have the same geological makeup as genuine stones but none of the faults. This means they have amazing clarity and colour, but at a much lower price point than the authentic stones.
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.

Full description
A Small Simple and delicate gemstone ring made with Lab Opal and Steling Silver. Minimalist in style, the ring is designed to be stackable - meaning it is pretty on its own but can be mixed with other rings in my collection for a unique personal look.
Opal is October's birthstone making this a nice way to mark either your own or someone closes birthdate.
What is Lab Opal? Put simply, it is a gemstone made in a laboratory rather than over hundreds of years in the ground. The gemstone shares the same composition as its natural counterpart but as it is made in perfect conditions, it has none of the flaws or weaknesses as natural opal (which is a very soft gemstone that can dry out and crack!). The lab Opals I use have an amazing sparkly and are every bit as pretty as natural gems.
